SOUTHERN FEEDER ROAD AND RAILWAY OVERBRIDGE

March 2020

QMF was awarded the concrete works package contract by Haslin Constructions Pty Ltd for development of Stage 2 of the Southern Feeder Road and Railway Overbridge in Orange NSW. The project involves the construction of three components; Southern Feeder Road Stage 2 from Elsham Avenue to Forest Road, Southern Feeder Rail Overbridge at 3.1 km south of Orange and Edward Street Reconstruction south of McNeilly Street.

Scope of works on this project included but was not limited to:

• Columns

• Abutments and retaining walls

• Lateral restraint blocks

• Bearing mortar pads

• Approach slabs

• Bridge Deck

• In-situ barriers

• Inside barriers for pedestrian access

• Pedestrian and cycle footpaths

Other aspects of the project included working in and around the rail corridor, working at heights, access constraints, working within environmental controls and keeping fluency of works to meet rail shutdown timelines.
