SCHOLEY STREET RAIL OVERBRIDGE

QMF was awarded the contract by Bridge & Civil Pty Ltd to construct a new replacement rail overbridge in the Newcastle suburb of Islington.

Scope of works on this project included but was not limited to:

• Abutments

• Capping beams

• Walls & headstock

• Bridge deck

• Staircases

Other aspects of the project included working in and around the rail corridor, working in a residential and educational precinct, working at heights, access constraints, working within environmental controls and keeping fluency of works to meet rail shutdown timelines.
