PARKLANDS PROJECT (COMMONWEALTH GAMES VILLAGE)

January 2018

QMF Construction was awarded the contract by JMac Constructions (a BMD wholly owned company), to construct various walls, stairs and seating on the Parkland’s Project on the Gold Coast, QLD.

The Parkland’s Project incorporates 7 hectares of residential & retail precincts and also over 7 hectares of green spaces including a community park. It will also feature 1252 dwellings and a village that connects the development together. In late 2017 the site will be leased to the Gold Coast 2018 Organising Committee to be transformed into the athlete’s village for the 2018 Commonwealth games where it will then accommodate the 6600 athletes and team officials.

QMF Construction’s scope of works on this project included but was not limited to:

  • Over 300LM of feature park walls

  • Access stairs

  • Seated wall areas


Other aspects of the project included; working on a large scale development including co-ordinating with various other trades & working to strict timelines.
