BALLARAT WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT

October 2015

QMF Construction was awarded the concrete works contract by Leed Construction and Engineering to upgrade the Ballarat Waste Water Treatment Plant in the city of Ballarat in Victoria.

Scope of works on this project included but was not limited to:

• Construction of a new clarifier

• Bio-reactor outlet chamber

• RAS flowmeter pit

• Scum pump station

• Valve and flow meter pits

• Junction manhole

Other aspects of the project include working with an engineered formwork system (peri rundflex), erecting suspended soffits for walkways, working at heights, adapting the construction program to accommodate the colder weather
