QMF Construction was awarded the contract by Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure to carry out various concrete works on the upgrade of the Adamstown Railway station in the Newcastle suburb of Adamstown. Recently, QMF Construction worked successfully with Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure on upgrades to the nearby Broadmeadow Railway station, so it will be pleasing to collaborate once again.
Scope of works on this project included but was not limited to:
Lifts shafts
Retaining walls
Footings
Columns
Headstocks
Stairs, landings & kerbs
Bridge deck
Pedestrian ramps and footpaths
Other aspects of the project included, working around the rail corridor, working at heights, working to strict time constraints to meet rail shutdown deadlines, working within a residential area so keeping construction noise to a minimum where possible.
